i'm just sayin...
i've lived with mom since october, and i'm still "moving out" of dad's. last week i brought four more boxes of stuff, mostly books, to mom's. in one of those boxes, i found a book called The Merriam-Webster Dictionary of Quotations. i found a few i really like and i thought i'd share.
"we have been God-like in our planned breeding of our domesticated plants and animals, but we have been rabbit-like in our unplanned breeding of ourselves." -arnold toynbee
"God will forgive me; it is in his trade." -heinrich heine, reportedly said on his deathbead
"five minutes! zounds! i have been five minutes too late all my lifetime!" -hannah cowley, the belle's stratagem
"who dares to teach must never cease to learn." -john cotta dana, motto composed for kean college, new jersey
more later.
